Mommy was that really one day?

That's what Sydney and Talmage wanted to know before they fell asleep tonight. We had such a fun filled day that they just couldn't believe that it all happened on the same day. That's what happens when you hang out with Emily. That sister of mine knows how to plan a fun day.  Thanks Emily for a great day. I love that Sydney and Talmage are making so many memories with their cousins.

We started out at a bike parade.

Followed by a flag ceremony...this is Sydney & Talmage during the national anthem.

Talmage was still working on waking up all the way. 7:00 is pretty early for us...as you can see:)

Look at how tall that Sydney is!

Next was breakfast...we skipped the pancake breakfast that followed the bike parade and flag ceremony since the line was reaaallly long and had our pancake breakfast at McDonalds. One with a brand new play area. It was great.

Then Emily and the crew had some plans with their Ballard grandparents so I took Sydney & Talmage to the movies where we saw Rio.

Then we went to the splash park

Talmage got all suited up with his trash bag top and had a total blast. He was so fun to watch.

Beautiful brown eyes.

Beautiful blue eyes.

I am smitten with these freckles of Talmage's. Totally smitten.

Next was fireworks. We hiked up to a spot on the mountain. But first, Lucy told the kids a ghost story at the trail head.

It was a great day.

Happy 4th of July!
